What is The Institute for Church Leadership

Training & Congregation Revitalization? 

  Simply known as
[The Institute]


The Institute is an intensive 12 hours course for four nights (3 hours per night)
 [6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M--Mon. Tue. Wed. & Thurs].  It is a training program
for leadership development and revitalization of local congregations that
are having difficulties in numerical and spiritual growth.  The program
intends to help congregations train their existing leaders and equip them
to train others for leadership. It also intends to equip congregations with
new and innovative ideas for Church growth and Church development.




What are the Subjects Taught at The Institute?


      The following courses are taught
 at the Institute. Each Institute Session   consisting of 4 nights devoted to only
one subject. However, we are willing
and able to introduce new areas or
new courses of study  depending on
the identifiable needs of the congregation.

  • Evangelism & Church Growth
  • Christian Education
  • A Successful Stewardship Methods
  • The Mission of the Church
  • Empowerment of Women in the Ministry
  • Pastoral Care and/or Pastoral Counseling
  • Ministering to the Suffering, Dying and the Bereaved
  • Understanding the Old Testament (The Hebrew Scripture)
  • Understanding the New Testament
  • Black Personalities in the Bible
  • Effective ways that Christians can minister to Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses and people of other faith traditions.

   WHO CAN ATTEND THE         INSTITUTE?

Only individuals selectd or appointed
by the participating churches can attend The Institute when courses are being offered. Churches that are not participating are not permitted to attend the sessions.

HOW DOES A CHURCH BECOME A HOST OR PARTICIPATING CHURCH?


If you are interested in hosting
The Institute, all you need to do
is consult Dr. Nya Kwiawon
Taryor, Dean and Founder of

Participating Churches are
Churches sponsoring
the Institute.
 
A host Church is the Church
that offers its local facilities for
The Institute to be held, or
the hosting Church is the Church
in which The Institute is taking
place, or the church that has
provided the location for
The Institute to hold its sessions.

This was the combined classes from Gainesville and Wnder, Georgia who were enrolled in my Theological Education (ITC) program along with the members of The Institute I referred to as students in Tutoral Adult Theological Education classes. They have gathered in the White Oaks Baptist Church in Winder, Georgia  to receive their Certificates of Course Completion--Some earned Diploma in Theological Studies and others received Certificate of completion in from The Institute at White Oaks Baptist Church.White Oaks Baptist Church was the Host Church that year, and several local Churches participated in The Institute.

HOW MANY CHURCHES CAN PARTICIPATE AT A TIME?

Any number of churches may 
sponsor The Institute.  
No limit 
on the number of
attendance  
or number of 
Churches participating.
In  
fact, we encourage groups of  local Churches with similar
needs to join together,
sponsor The Institute and
share the cost. One of
the participating Churches
becomes the Host Church.

ITC (Interdenominational Theological Center, Atlanta, Georgia) students having real fun in learning about African Traditional Religions
All these students are working on their Masters or Doctorate degrees in Theology. I do not know what I said that got everyone laughing or smiling. Many of these students in this class are studying for their Doctor of Ministry degree (D. Min.) One studentis studying for his (Th. D.)  Doctor of Theology.


HOW MANY TIMES CAN A CHURCH HOST OR PARTIIPATE IN THE INSTITUTE?


A Church can host or participate
in the Institute as many times
as it wishes to do so until its needs
are met.

WHAT IS THE COST TO SPONSOR THE INSTITUTE?

The cost is only $1,500.00 per
course per session. [4 nights] not
per person or per congregation,
but for the entire event, no
matter how many churches
are involved.  This amount
covers tuition certificates and
all handouts for every one
attending.  The cost of books is
not added in this amount. The cost
of the Institute may be
shared amongst the
participating  congregations
or Churches.
